Reykjavik Street Food

  We made an effort to find this restaurant because of its outstanding rating on Tripadvisor. We found it to be highly overrated, so much so, that we are wondering whether... read more the ratings are 'real.' We ordered fish stew -- bland and uninteresting, tasted fishy, but was not flavorful -- and fish and chips, which were OK at best. The cod was good; the breading not so. Chips were OK. There are much better places in Reykjavik to enjoy a simple meal.

The service was wonderful, the food was delicious....the whole experience was a delight. We were also really impressed with how eco-friendly this restaurant is. I would highly recommend a visit to 101 Reykjavik Street Food.

  Stopped in during a cold, rainy, windy,, afternoon for some fish and soup. The food was delicious and more than reasonably priced!

  Tiny portions of poorly cooked food. Icelandic fish stew basically vinegary mash potato, hardly discernible as containing fish.
Meat soup - thin broth with a few bits of meat... read more and diced vegetables.
Beer served in cans, not cold.
Expensive and unsatisfactory, maybe ok for the under 30 crowd who can sit and chat in an atmosphere reminiscent of a 1970’s polytechnic refectory.
We crossed the road and had a nice Vietnamese meal afterwards to compensate.
Avoid this place !

  We ended up here on our last day of our journey to Iceland, it was cold and rainy and the restaurant and the staff were amazing and welcoming. The lobster... read more soup is to die for and the fish and chips disappeared quickly, I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Iceland. And free chocolate on the tables. What a treat!
